Dave Campbell's 2018 Texas Football Rising Magazine Cover

Dave Campbell's Texas Football was created in the spring of 1960 at a kitchen table in Waco, Texas. The goal of this publication was to keep football fans in the state of Texas up to date on their favorite teams. It remains the only magazine dedicated to every high school, college, and NFL team in the state of Texas to this day.

The magazine contacted me looking for a cover design for their annual recruiting issue, Texas Football Rising. This issue features Kenyon Green, the top offensive tackle prospect in the country and third-highest ranked prospect overall according to the ESPN 300 rankings. The editors wanted to feature a photo that represents Kenyon’s current team, as well as his future collegiate home: Texas A&M University.

To do this properly, a full jersey swap on Green’s original photo was required (broken down below), so that I could get the best possible outcome with layer masks.
